Hackney New Primary School

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to share with you the exceptional results from our recent Ofsted inspection on the 17th and 18th of December 2024. It is with great pride that we continue to uphold our status as an outstanding school, a testament to the collective effort of our entire community.

The Ofsted report recognises that "Pupils love being part of the Hackney New Primary community. They show deep respect for their peers, treating each other with kindness. Pupils behave exceptionally well." This environment of mutual respect and excellent behaviour is something we cherish and continuously strive to nurture.

Our school is praised not only for academic excellence but also for enriching experiences that extend beyond traditional learning. It has been noted that, "Staff ensure that pupils’ experiences go beyond the academic," highlighting our commitment to developing well-rounded individuals.

The report further acknowledges the breadth and depth of our curriculum stating, "The curriculum for all pupils is ambitious" and "In many instances, exceeds what is expected nationally." Such recognition affirms our dedication to delivering an educational experience that not only meets but surpasses national standards, preparing our students for a successful future.

A cornerstone of our enriching curriculum is our music program. "Music sits at the heart of the school," with all students learning to play a musical instrument from Year 1, showcasing their skills in regular and joyful concerts. This integral part of our curriculum enhances the school experience, fostering a love of the arts among our students. 

Significantly, "The school has carefully planned and sequenced the personal, social, health and economic education curriculum." This ensures that our students are not only academically proficient but also grow as informed and responsible individuals who are well-prepared to contribute positively to society.
