Hackney New Primary School is an oversubscribed school serving a diverse population, which has successfully grown since opening as a Free School in September 2015, achieving an Ofsted grading of Outstanding in 2018 and moving into a brand new building in September 2019. The school also joined Eko Trust in 2019. By September 2020 the school will be full to year 5 and the first cohort of year 6 children will leave the school in July 2022. The school has a very strong commitment to developing the musical ability of every child.
The next phase of the life of the school is exciting; the successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop KS2 and establish a full leadership structure. The school benefits from a wide range of support and collaborative opportunities through Eko Trust, and you will play an active role across the Trust in developing your own and others’ practice. Our Trust based National, Local and Specialist Leaders of Education work highly effectively on school to school support within our Trust schools and also in schools within the East of England and North East London region, through our teaching school, the ‘East London Early Years and Schools Partnership’ and our Research School, ‘The East London Research School’.
You will have completed, or will be working towards, your NPQH, will have current or recent Headteacher experience or successful experience as a deputy or assistant Head, preferably in more than one school. You will also have a proven track record in improving teaching and learning and embedding excellent practice, and in leading staff to achieve successful outcomes for all pupils. You will be able to demonstrate how you have successfully implemented significant change. Your personal skills will enable you to articulate and communicate your vision and form excellent relationships with all stakeholders.

Hackney New Primary School is looking for an experienced, outstanding Year 5 teacher to join our growing team.
We opened in September 2015 with an inaugural two classes of 25 children in Reception, and in September 2020 these children will become our first Year 5 cohort.
